Fresh food in tetra pots on racks (You Tube / Willem Van Cotthem)

Buklod Tao Livelihood Program: Tetra Pots

Although I don’t speak the language, this Philippino video on the use of discarded bags of soft drinks and juices to make “TETRA POTS” for growing vegetables on racks is extremely clear and very interesting.

If these Philippinos can grow vegetables in such a simple way, with such low-cost “trash” materials, why should hungry people all over the world not be able to develop similar techniques or methods, maybe with other materials to make containers, maybe simply with discarded pots, cans, tins, bottles, … ?

This seems the highway to alleviate malnutrition and hunger.  Why don’t we teach all the hungry how to ride on this highway ?
