Our Fritillaria sits in mosses

 

Recently, my wife received a splendid present: a flowering Fritillaria meleagris in a beautiful plastic vase.

Quite remarkable for me was the fact that the bulbs of this species, belonging to the family of the lillies (Liliaceae), are wrapped in mosses.
